Jon Sayce
For much of my working career I have used computers to make functional business graphics and diagrams. In recent years though, I have been exploring and experimenting in the world of digital graphic art. I do also have strong regard for many other art media, especially relief and intaglio print making.
I use a variety of mainstream software programs, but try to make my work more individual by making my own digital brushes, textures and transparent overlays.
What I have also found is, just as when using traditional materials like watercolours paints, there is still an element of serendipity (good luck) when working digitally. The trick is recognising when something interesting has just happened, then unraveling what you’ve just done!
