I have always been interested in art which was my main subject at teacher training college. I learnt all about shape, form and texture but very little about techniques ! I had success teaching art at Primary level and enjoyed working with junior children. I took very early retirement from teaching and was lucky enough to find excellent tuition. I now work independently and enjoy using and experimenting with different techniques. Curved, sensuous lines often influence my works so subjects with these in are good for me. (Eg ‘Polyphany2). Though I originate from E. Yorks, I live in Belper and spend a lot of time at our cottage near Driffield. I am also treasurer of The Belper Art Group and have been involved with it for many years.
