Workshop by John Naylor, 6 February 2015 at Nafferton Village Hall
John Naylor demonstrated his particular technique for painting wildlife in soft pastels using a Mallard duck as the subject.
The class of 12 Driffield Art Club Members all had a go at painting the same subject and the results can be seen below in the photographs below.
John talked abut his life and background in portrait painting at Butlins as a young man then, in later years, rearing wildlife including birds of prey, hares and other animals in order to paint them in as natural a setting as possible. He finished off the day with a beautiful painting of a pheasant from memory.
